Statements like “giving back to the community”, “making a difference thru volunteering”, “helping others thru community” all exemplify our thoughts on how to help others. These thoughts are what “Hometown Heroes” was founded on. The simple idea of helping others less fortunate thru volunteerism and community involvement.
Our first undertaking called “Hometown Heroes” was back in 2002 when we honored local area police, firefighters and emergency responders with a tribute after the 9-11-01 tragedies. It was our honor to recognize our local area "heroes".
Our second project took place in 2008 and was called “Hometown Heroes Family Edition” in which we help a special family in Grafton that has been stricken with many health issues and needed their home modified to accommodate their family’s growing special needs. Read about their struggles. It was a great undertaking but with help from many "heroes" we pulled off this house transformation in only one month. With the rest of the community, sponsors and donors we made this miracle happen for them. It has improved their life and ours in the process.
